About
Community Support That Empowers
Vikingland Community Support Program (VCSP) provides community-based mental health services to adults 18 and older in and around Alexandria, Minnesota. As a team of experienced mental health practitioners, we’re here to offer more than just support—we’re here to help individuals build a life worth living.
Through personalized services and a compassionate, non-judgmental approach, we walk alongside those navigating mental health challenges. Whether someone is adjusting to independent living, managing symptoms of a mental illness, or seeking a safe place to connect with others, we provide the tools, resources, and encouragement to help them thrive.
We Believe in the Power of Education, Compassion, and Community Connection
Services are designed to be flexible and individualized to meet the needs of each recipient. We believe in promoting self-sufficiency by therapeutic interventions and skills training.
Services are designed to improve independent functioning, enhance social competence and achieve psychiatric stability. Services are designed to provide education, assistance, support and encouragement.
What We Do
We specialize in Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS), a Community Support Program (CSP), and In-Home Supports (IHS), designed to meet people where they are—both literally and emotionally. In addition to one-on-one services, we offer a Drop-In Center that provides a welcoming space for socializing, creativity, and community involvement.
Our services focus on:
- Teaching tools for managing mental health symptoms
- Helping individuals navigate community resources
- Identifying and overcoming daily life barriers
- Providing emotional support and encouragement
Each person’s path is different. That’s why our services are flexible, strengths-based, and tailored to the unique needs of each individual.
Who We Serve
We support a wide range of adults living with mental health challenges—those who are new to services, those transitioning from other care environments, and those seeking community support as they work toward stability and independence.
We also work closely with:
- Case managers
- Therapists and providers
- Family members and caregivers
Whether you're seeking help for yourself or someone you care about, Vikingland CSP is here to listen, support, and guide you every step of the way.
